Punxsutawney is home to many vibrant businesses that play an important role in the overall vitality of the Community by providing jobs, supporting civic and social causes, and significantly contributing to the local tax base.
To acknowledge the importance of these businesses and to recognize the owners’ hard work, accomplishments, and
dedication to their Community, the Chamber of Commerce annually selects a local business to receive the Business of the Year Award.
Punxsutawney is also very fortunate to be the home of many non-profit organizations dedicated to improving the lives of our residents and advancing our Community. These organizations are passionate about their causes and work tirelessly to achieve their missions and support our residents and Community.
To acknowledge the importance of these organizations and recognize their accomplishments and contributions, the Chamber of Commerce annually selects one organization to receive the Outstanding Contribution to the Community Award.
Nominees will be sought from Chamber members based on the criteria described in this document, and nomination forms must be received at the Chamber by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, September 28, 2020. The winners will be selected by a committee comprised of Chamber Directors and past Award recipients.
The awards will be presented at the Chamber’s Annual Award Event on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., at Gobbler’s Knob. The recipient will also receive a free Chamber Annual Membership.
